| Indications |
|
Lower urinary tract discomfort due to hypermotility. Treatment of formaldehyde-susceptible cystitis, urethritis, trigonitis. |

|
<6yrs: not recommended. ≥6yrs: see literature. |
| Adults |
|
2 tabs 4 times daily. |
| Contraindications |
|
Glaucoma. GI or GU obstruction. Cardiospasm. |
| Precautions |
|
Maintain acid urine and adequate hydration. Cardiovascular disease. Monitor therapy with repeated urine cultures. Discolors urine/feces. Discontinue if dizziness, tachycardia, or blurred vision occurs. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers. |
| Interactions |
|
Sulfonamides precipitate with formaldehyde in urine; avoid concomitant use. Interferes with colorimetric urine tests. |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
Anticholinergic effects (eg, tachycardia, flushing, blurred vision, dizziness, dyspnea, acute urinary retention, dry mouth). |
