Rhinorrhea and congestion. |

|
<2 years: not recommended. 2–6 years: 2.5–5 mL every 12 hours. 6–12 years: 5–10 mL every 12 hours. |

|
10–20 mL every 12 hours. |
| Contraindications |
|
Severe hypertension or coronary artery disease. Narrow angle glaucoma. Asthma. GI or urinary obstruction. During or within 14 days of MAOIs. |
| Precautions |
|
Hypertension. Ischemic heart disease. Hyperthyroidism. Diabetes. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers: not recommended. |
| Interactions |
|
Hypertensive crisis with MAOIs. β-blockers may increase the pressor effects of sympathomimetics. Potentiates alcohol, other CNS depressants, anticholinergics. Antagonizes guanethidine, other antihypertensives. Caution with sympathomimetics. |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
Drowsiness, anticholinergic effects, GI upset, dizziness, nervousness, anxiety, headache, weakness, insomnia, GU disturbances, thickening of bronchial secretions, hypotension, respiratory depression or difficulty, palpitation, excitation in children. |
