<6yrs: not recommended. ≥6yrs: 5mL every 4–6hrs; max 20mL/day. |

10mL every 4–6hrs; max 40mL/day. |
| Contraindications |
|
During or within 14 days of MAOIs. Severe coronary artery disease or hypertension. Ventricular tachycardia. Pheochromocytoma. Narrow angle glaucoma. Not for treating lower respiratory disorders (eg, asthma). GI or GU obstruction. Neonates. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers. |

| Interactions |
|
Hypertensive crisis with MAOIs (see Contraindications). β-blockers may increase the effects of sympathomimetics. Potentiates alcohol, other CNS depressants. Antagonizes antihypertensives. Paralytic ileus with anticholinergics. |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
Drowsiness, dizziness, other CNS effects, palpitations, GI effects, anticholinergic effects (eg, dry mouth, urinary retention); respiratory depression (overdosage). |
