Rhinorrhea, congestion, cough. |

|
<2yrs: not recommended. 2–6yrs: 2.5mL every 12hrs. >6yrs: 5mL every 12hrs. |

5–10mL every 12hrs. |
| Contraindications |
|
Not for treating symptoms of lower respiratory disorders (eg, asthma). Severe hypertension. Peripheral vascular disease. During or within 14 days of MAOIs. Concomitant diphenhydramine-containing products. |
| Precautions |
|
Hypertension. Cardiovascular disease. Hyperthyroidism. Diabetes. Narrow-angle glaucoma. GI or GU obstruction. Atopic children. Sedated or debilitated. Elderly. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Labor & delivery. Nursing mothers: not recommended. |
| Interactions |
|
Hypertensive/hyperpyretic crisis with MAOIs (see Contraindications). Additive CNS effects with alcohol, other CNS depressants. |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
CNS and anticholinergic effects (eg, drowsiness, dry mouth), GI upset, rash; excitability in children. |
