Indications
Seasonal allergic rhinitis with nasal congestion.
Children
Not recommended.
Adults
Swallow whole. 1 tab twice daily. Renal impairment: 1 tab once daily.
Contraindications
Narrow-angle glaucoma. Urinary retention. Severe hypertension or coronary artery disease. During or within 14 days of MAOIs.
Precautions
Hepatic impairment: not recommended. Renal impairment: reduce dose. Hypertension. Ischemic heart disease. Increased intraocular pressure. Thyroid disease. GI or GU obstruction. Diabetes. Elderly. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers: not recommended.
Interactions
See Contraindications. Pseudoephedrine: Antagonizes antihypertensives. Increased ectopic pacemaker activity with digitalis.
Adverse Reactions
Dry mouth, headache, insomnia, fatigue, pharyngitis, somnolence, nausea, dizziness, nervousness, hyperactivity, anorexia.
