Rhinorrhea, allergy symptoms, nasal congestion. |
| Children |
|
<2yrs: do not use. 2–5yrs: individualize. 6–11yrs: chew 2 tabs. Repeat every 4 hours as needed. |
| Contraindications |
|
Children <2yrs old. Within 14 days of MAOIs. |
| Precautions |
|
Hypertension. Cardiovascular disease. Thyroid disease. Diabetes. Glaucoma. GI or GU obstruction. Asthma. Lower respiratory disorders. |
| Interactions |
|
Hypertensive crisis with MAOIs. β-blockers may increase the pressor effects of sympathomimetics. Antagonizes guanethidine, other antihypertensives. May potentiate sedation with alcohol, other CNS depressants. |

|
Drowsiness, anticholinergic effects, dizziness, nervousness, insomnia, excitability in children. |
