Ibuprofen 100mg, pseudoephedrine HCI 15mg; per 5mL; grape flavor; alcohol free; susp.
Indications
Nasal congestion, pain, sore throat, fever.
Children
<24lbs (<2 yrs): not recommended. 24–47lbs (2–5yrs): 5mL. 48–95lbs (6–11yrs): 10mL. Both: every 6hrs.
Adults
Not applicable.
Contraindications
Aspirin allergy. During or within 14 days of MAOIs.
Precautions
Dehydration. Hypertension. Diabetes. Glaucoma. GI, cardiac, thyroid, renal, or hepatic disease. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers.
Interactions
Hypertensive crisis with MAOIs. β-blockers may increase the pressor effects of sympathomimetics. Guanethidine, other antihypertensives antagonized. May potentiate anticoagulants, CNS stimulants. Increases serum lithium levels. Avoid aspirin, other pain relievers. Increased risk of GI bleed with alcohol.
Adverse Reactions
GI upset or bleed, nervousness, drowsiness, dizziness, insomnia.
