Cough and congestion. |

|
Under 2 yrs: not recommended. 2–6 yrs: 2.5mL. 6–12 yrs: 5mL. Both every 4 hrs. |

|
10mL every 4 hrs. |
| Contraindications |
|
Asthma. Lower respiratory disorders. Neonates. Premature infants. Severe hypertension or cardiovascular disease. Within 14 days of MAOIs. Nursing mothers. |
| Precautions |
|
Diabetes. History of bronchial asthma. Glaucoma. GI or urinary obstruction. Hypertension. Cardiovascular disease. Hyperthyroidism. Pregnancy (Cat.C). |
| Interactions |
|
Hypertensive crisis with MAOIs, β-blockers. Potentiates alcohol, CNS depressants, sympathomimetics. Antagonizes antihypertensives. |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
Drowsiness, sedation, nausea, dizziness, cardiovascular effects, constipation, anticholinergic effects; excitation in children. |
