Swallow whole. 1 caplet every 12 hours. |
| Contraindications |
|
Aspirin allergy. Coronary artery bypass graft surgery. During or within 14 days of MAOIs. |
| Precautions |
|
Hypertension. Diabetes. Bleeding disorders. Glaucoma. GU obstruction. GI, hepatic, renal, thyroid disease. Dehydration. Elderly. Pregnancy; avoid during 3rd trimester. Nursing mothers: not recommended. |
| Interactions |
|
Hypertensive crisis with MAOIs (see Contraindications). β-blockers may increase pressor effects of sympathomimetics. May potentiate anticoagulants, CNS stimulants. Caution with corticosteroids. Avoid aspirin, other pain relievers. Increased risk of GI bleed with alcohol. |

GI upset/bleed, rash (discontinue if occurs), nervousness, drowsiness, insomnia. See literature re: risk of cardiovascular events. |
