| Indications |
|
Mild to moderately severe pain. |
| Children |
|
Use elixir. <3 years: not recommended. 3–6 years: 5mL. 7–12 years: 10mL. Both: 3–4 times daily. |
| Adults |
|
#3: 1–2 tabs every 4 hours. #4 and Elixir: 1 tab or 15mL every 4 hours. |
| Precautions |
|
Head injury. Increased intracranial pressure. Acute abdomen. Impaired renal, hepatic, thyroid, or adrenocortical function. GI or GU obstruction. Asthma (tabs). Drug abusers. Elderly. Debilitated. Labor and delivery. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers. |

Potentiation with alcohol, CNS depressants, MAOIs, tricyclic antidepressants, anticholinergics. |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
Dizziness, sedation, nausea, vomiting, constipation, urinary retention, rash; overdosage: respiratory depression, hepatotoxicity. |
