|
Head injury. Increased intracranial pressure. Acute abdomen. Shock. Impaired renal, hepatic, thyroid, pulmonary, or adrenocortical function. GI or GU obstruction. Drug abusers. Elderly. Debilitated. Biliary tract surgery. Kyphoscoliosis. Acute pancreatitis. Convulsive disorders. Delirium tremens. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Labor & delivery, nursing mothers: not recommended. |

Potentiation with alcohol, CNS depressants. Do not use within 14 days of MAOIs. Severe hypotension with phenothiazines. |

Sedation, GI upset, constipation, urinary retention, respiratory depression, orthostatic hypotension, syncope, dysphoria, euphoria. |
