Moderate to severe pain. |

0.5–0.8mg/lb up to adult dose every 3–4 hours as needed. Dilute syrup in 1/2 glass water. |

50–150mg every 3–4 hours as needed. |

During or within 14 days of MAOIs. |
| Precautions |
|
Head injury. Intracranial lesions. Increased intracranial pressure. Acute abdomen. Convulsive disorders. Impaired respiratory, renal, hepatic, thyroid, or adrenocortical function. Volume depletion. Supraventricular tachycardias. GI or GU obstruction. Drug abusers. Elderly. Debilitated. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers. |

MAOIs (toxicity, may be fatal). Potentiation with alcohol, CNS depressants, phenothiazines, tricyclics. |

|
Dizziness, sedation, sweating, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, constipation, urinary retention, hypotension, rash; convulsions with large doses; respiratory/circulatory depression, high abuse potential. |
