Suicidal or addiction-prone patients. |

Renal or hepatic impairment. Elderly. Debilitated. Labor & delivery. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers. |
| Interactions |
|
Potentiation with alcohol, CNS depressants. May increase levels of antidepressants, anticonvulsants, coumarin anticoagulants, others. Coma, severe neurological effects seen with carbamazepine. |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
Dizziness, sedation, nausea, vomiting, constipation, rash; respiratory depression, hepatotoxicity (overdosage). |
