Indications
Tension (or muscle contraction) headache.
Children
Not recommended.
Adults
1 cap or tab every 4 hours as needed.
Contraindications
Porphyria.
Precautions
Drug abusers. Severe hepatic or renal impairment. Depression. Suicidal tendencies. Acute abdomen. Elderly. Debilitated. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers: not recommended.
Interactions
Potentiation with alcohol, MAOIs, other CNS depressants. May antagonize oral anticoagulants, antibiotics, steroids, tricyclics. May cause false (+) urine test for 5-hydroxyindoleacetic acid.
Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness, dizziness, GI disturbances, depression, confusion, paradoxical excitement, dermatological reactions; overdosage: respiratory depression, hepatotoxicity.
