Emergency contraceptive kit.
Generic Name
Levonorgestrel 0.25mg, ethinyl estradiol 50micrograms (4 tabs); and 1 urine hCG test.
Indications
Prevention of pregnancy after known or suspected contraceptive failure or unprotected intercourse. Not for use as regular contraceptive.
Children
Not applicable.
Adults
Rule out pregnancy first using enclosed test. Take 2 tabs as soon as possible but no later than 72 hours after unprotected intercourse, then 2 tabs 12 hours after first dose.
Contraindications
See literature. Known or suspected pregnancy.
Precautions
See literature. Ectopic pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, vomiting, menstrual irregularities, breast tenderness, headache, abdominal pain/cramps, dizziness.
