Indications
Calcium supplement.
Children
Not recommended.
Adults
1–2 tabs twice daily.
Precautions
Hypoparathyroidism.
Interactions
May antagonize tetracycline, bisphosphonates (separate by 2 hours), phenytoin, other drugs. May be antagonized by phenytoin, iron supplements.
Adverse Reactions
Hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria.
