Adjunct in cardiovascular disease, cerebrovascular disease, osteoporosis, micronutrient deficiencies due to inflammatory bowel disease or dementia (esp. menopausal), uterine fibroids, and endometriosis. Folic acid supplementation. |

Take with food. 1 tab twice daily. |
| Contraindications |
|
Hypercalcemia. |
| Precautions |
|
Avoid in hemophilia. Folic acid may mask pernicious anemia (may be mitigated by B12 component). Discontinue before surgery. Pregnancy. Nursing mothers. |
| Interactions |
|
Antagonizes levodopa monotherapy, phenytoin. Decreased calcium absorption with H2-blockers and proton pump inhibitors. Caution with warfarin. |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
Allergic sensitization, paresthesia, somnolence, GI upset, polycythemia vera, itching transitory exanthema, swelling, hypersensitivity reactions, kidney stones. |
