Reduction in risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women: with osteoporosis and/or at high risk for invasive breast cancer. |

60mg once daily. |
| Contraindications |
|
Active or history of venous thromboembolic events. Nursing mothers. Pregnancy (Cat.X). Women who may become pregnant. |
| Precautions |
|
Not for use in premenopausal women. Concomitant systemic estrogen therapy: not recommended. Discontinue 72 hours before, and during prolonged immobilization; resume when fully ambulatory. Coronary heart disease or risk of coronary event (increased risk of death due to stroke). Hepatic dysfunction. Moderate to severe renal impairment. |
| Interactions |
|
May antagonize warfarin; monitor. Avoid concomitant cholestyramine, other anion exchange resins. Caution with other highly protein-bound drugs (eg, diazepam, diazoxide, lidocaine). |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
Hot flashes, leg cramps, peripheral edema, flu syndrome, arthralgia, sweating; rare: venous thromboembolic events. |
