Hemochromatosis. Hemosiderosis. |
| Precautions |
|
For pernicious anemia, parenteral cyanocobalamin is preferred. Resistance to exogenous intrinsic factor may develop. Folic acid may mask pernicious anemia. Monitor blood parameters. Hepatitis. Pancreatitis. Peptic ulcer or GI inflammation. Achlorhydria. Repeated blood transfusions. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers. Elderly. |
