| Indications |
|
Short-term treatment of GERD, when continuation of pantoprazole tabs is not feasible. Pathological hypersecretory conditions (eg, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome). |

|
<18 years: not recommended. |
| Adults |
|
≥18 years: GERD: 40mg once daily for 7–10 days; switch to tabs as soon as possible. Pathological hypersecretory conditions: 80mg every 8–12 hours; usual max 240mg/day or 6 days' treatment. |
| Precautions |
|
Pregnancy (Cat.B). Nursing mothers: not recommended. |
| Interactions |
|
May alter absorption of gastric pH-dependent drugs (eg, ketoconazole, iron, ampicillin). May antagonize atazanavir. Monitor warfarin. May give antacids concomitantly. IV form chelates metal ions. May cause false (+) urine THC test. |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
Headache, diarrhea, rash, hyperglycemia, dizziness, pruritus, inj site reactions; rare: cyanocobalamin deficiency. |
