Short-term alternative to oral therapy for erosive esophagitis. |

Not recommended. |
| Adults |
|
Infuse IV over 30 minutes (use filter). 30mg once daily for up to 7 days; switch to oral form as soon as possible (max 8 weeks therapy). |
| Precautions |
|
Severe hepatic impairment (consider dose reduction). Pregnancy (Cat.B). Nursing mothers: not recommended. |
| Interactions |
|
May alter absorption of pH-dependent drugs (eg, ketoconazole, digoxin, iron, ampicillin). May antagonize atazanavir. Monitor theophylline, warfarin. Give at least 30 minutes before sucralfate. May give antacids concomitantly. |

Diarrhea, abdominal pain, nausea, constipation, headache, inj site reactions. |
