In combination with lansoprazole and/or clarithromycin to eradicate H. pylori in adults with duodenal ulcer disease. |

Triple therapy: amoxicillin 1g + clarithromycin 500mg + lansoprazole 30mg, all every 12 hrs for 14 days. Dual therapy (if allergic or resistant to clarithromycin): amoxicillin 1g + lansoprazole 30mg, both every 8 hrs for 14 days. |
| Precautions |
|
Cephalosporin, imipenem, other allergy or mononucleosis: not recommended. Monitor blood, renal, and hepatic function in long-term use. Labor & delivery. Pregnancy (Cat.B). Nursing mothers. |
| Interactions |
|
Potentiated by probenecid. May cause false (+) glucose test with Clinitest, Benedict's or Fehling's soln. |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
Diarrhea, headache, hypersensitivity reactions (eg, urticaria, rash, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, anaphylaxis), blood dyscrasias. Triple therapy: taste perversion. |
