Replacement therapy in exocrine pancreatic enzyme deficiency. |
| Adults and Children |
|
Cystic fibrosis or chronic pancreatitis: 1–4 tabs of Viokase 8 or 1–2 tabs of Viokase 16 with meals. Pancreatectomy or pancreatic duct obstruction: 1–2 tabs of Viokase 8 or 1 tab of Viokase 16 every 2 hours. |

Maintain proper diet. Avoid inhaling powder (esp in asthma). Contents irritating to mucosa. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers. |
| Adverse Reactions |

Nausea, abdominal cramps, diarrhea; asthma attack (pwd); hyperuricosuria, hyperuricemia (in high doses). |
