| Indications |
|
Ocular inflammation associated with infection. |
| Adults and Children |
|
To treat eyes: 1–2 drops every 3–4 hrs, or more often if necessary. To treat lids: 1–2 drops every 3–4 hrs and rub excess around lids; max 20mL per therapeutic course. |
| Contraindications |
|
Fungal, viral or mycobacterial infections. Uncomplicated removal of foreign body. |
| Precautions |
|
Corneal or scleral thinning. Glaucoma. Myopia. Diabetes. Monitor for secondary infections and intraocular pressure in prolonged use. Avoid abrupt cessation. Infants and young children. Pregnancy. |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
Increased intraocular pressure, cataracts, corneal perforation, optic nerve damage. May mask signs of infection. Allergic dermatitis. |
