Indications
Superficial infections of the external auditory canal and associated itching and inflammation.
Adults and Children
May use aqueous formulation to saturate a cotton wick. Clean ear. Infants and small children: 3 drops in ear(s). Adults: 4–5 drops in ear(s). Both: 3–4 times daily; max 10 days. May use 3 times daily in unaffected ear to prevent infection.
Contraindications
Perforated eardrum. Viral ear infections. Tympanostomy tubes.
Precautions
Discontinue if irritation or sensitization occurs. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers.
Adverse Reactions
Local irritation, superinfection, allergic contact dermatitis.
