|
Moderate to severe plaque psoriasis of the scalp. |

<18yrs: not recommended. |
| Adults |
|
≥18yrs: apply to affected area once daily for up to 2 weeks or until clear; max 100g/wk. May treat up to 8 weeks. Do not occlude. |
| Contraindications |
|
Oint: disorders of calcium metabolism. Do not use for erythrodermic, exfoliative, or pustular psoriasis. Oint and Scalp: Do not use on face, axillae, groin, or atrophic skin. |
| Precautions |
|
Avoid eyes, sun, UV light (eg, phototherapy). Discontinue if hypercalcemia, HPA axis suppression, Cushing's syndrome, hyperglycemia, glucosuria, or irritation occurs. Treat infection if present. Severe renal or hepatic dysfunction. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers. |

Systemic absorption potentiated by other corticosteroids. |
| Adverse Reactions |
|
Local effects (eg, pruritus, rash, burning, atrophy, skin hypopigmentation or hyperpigmentation, erythema, telangiectasia, contact dermatitis, folliculitis, pustular psoriasis); hypercalcemia, HPA axis suppression (esp. in children). |
