Indications
Respiratory allergy symptoms. Rhinorrhea/sneezing due to common cold.
Children
Not recommended.
Adults
1 mg every 12 hours.
Contraindications
MAOIs. Asthma, lower respiratory disorders. Neonates. Premature infants. Nursing mothers.
Precautions
Glaucoma. GI or urinary obstruction. Hyperthyroidism. Cardiovascular disease. Hypertension. Elderly. Pregnancy.
Interactions
Potentiates CNS depression with alcohol, other CNS depressants. Anticholinergic effects potentiated by MAOIs.
Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness, dizziness, anticholinergic effects, paradoxical excitement.
